The Building I Call Home

All around the world people have different opinions about what the word “home” means but I think it’s where you are comfortable, safe and where you have fun. My home is comfortable just like my big cozy bed with my big thick blanket. Comfortable like the beige couch that I love playing video games on and that I like reading on. My parents living room is very comfortable because it’s where I relax a lot. My living room is even more comfortable because that is where I spend my hours doing homework (I do like 25-35 minutes of homework per day so if you add it up it’s a few hours per week). Comfortable because it’s where I can be myself but also where I can be alone if I want to. Home is comfortable like the movies me, my mom and my dad watch sometimes. But the most comfortable I have been in a while is when my parents and I were watching Canada play in the world juniors. (The world juniors is a under 20 hockey tournament that a bunch of countries compete in).My home is comfortable. My home is safe, like the nice sturdy walls that supports my home just like how love supports my family. Safe because the nice and sturdy building I call “home” will protect me from stuff like rain and the cold winter winds. My home also protects me from animals like bears, wolves and coyotes. I feel really safe in my home because I know that I live in a very safe community and a safe neighborhood. I also feel safe because I know that I have great parents and a sturdy home that will protect me no matter what. My home is safe. My home is fun, fun like shooting hockey pucks at a mat in the basement and passing the puck at a rebounder so it will come back to my beautiful orange blade of my red hockey stick. Fun like playing NHL 25 with my dad after a long day at school. Fun like tying my hockey skates with my dad at the ODR (outdoor rink). Another thing that is fun is talking to my mom in the kitchen while she makes supper. My home is also fun because on the weekends and on the holidays I get to have friends over and we play hockey together and we also play video games like Roblox for example. Another thing my friends and I do sometimes with hockey is we take our hockey sticks and we put a bunch of wax (wax is stuff that keeps snow off of your stick and makes your stick stickier) on our stick to see if we can make the puck stick to our sticks. My home is fun. That is why the place I love and live in is comfortable, safe and fun.
