What Home Should Feel Like

My home is a place that comes within my heart. A place that nobody can take away. Somewhere that I have peace at mind. Somewhere I can be myself. Somewhere I am loved. I can have a peaceful mind at home. I enjoy listening to music while I do homework. When I lay down next to my dogs (it’s like a warm hug)I can think about my thoughts. I have a peaceful mind when I’m watching movies with my family. I love reading fun facts and that gives me a peaceful mind. After a long day it’s nice to come home to warmth. What brings a peaceful mind is playing with my fidget toys in bed. Crafting with my mom for crafts fairs. Coloring pictures also brings a peaceful mind. It’s nice having a home where I have a peaceful mind. I can be myself at home. At school I am pretty quiet but I'm different at home. I’m goofy (like I make pretty bad jokes). It’s so horrible that it’s funny. I’m energetic (like race cars). I’m just everywhere and drive my parents insane. I’m kind and caring (like I’m a warm hug that you really needed). When someone is sad I tell them jokes or talk to them about it. I like acting and making no sense for no reason. I like reading out loud for fun. I like annoying my siblings but not when it’s homework time they need to focus. It’s nice having a home where I can be myself. I am loved at home. When I get home from school and see my dogs it’s like seeing your favorite game in the world. You just smile but then they get tummy rubs. Mom gives me a hug. And ask about my day and I help her make dinner. We watch something on the couch. She talks about her day and I act like I understand. I play board games with my family all the time. We also play video games and watch movies together. It’s nice having a home that loves me. It’s nice having a home where I can have a peaceful mind, can be myself and where I’m loved. It all comes within the heart.
