Home

A home is like a safe haven. It is peaceful and calm and it brings you joy when you step into it. My home smells like fresh, wet, forests when you walk in and it can also smell like fresh gingerbread hot out of the oven. My home is warm and inviting. If you ever come to my home my mom will probably make hot, fresh, muffins or cookies. I love to just sit wrapped in a warm blanket watching the fire crackle and pop. I also love to sit in my room in my bed with a blanket on me reading an intriguing book with my Christmas tree lights on. My home has a lot of lush, green bushes and a big green tree in our yard. Me and my dad spend a lot of time gardening and planting flowers. In the fall we rake up all the red and orange leaves and then go inside and get a nice cup of hot chocolate. A home is special where you can make memories with family and friends. A home is where you can feel special and feel welcomed. At first when I moved to my new house, I needed time to adjust to my new surroundings. It took a lot of work to move into our house. When I first saw it, I cried because my room was green and my carpets were purple. But with a little bit of love and work it was white and beautiful. I adjusted to my new house and my new room and soon it was home.
