The Meaning of Home

I was asked what the meaning of home means to me. Home means a lot of different things for different people. To me home is my dog barking when I get Home. My family laughing together. I love Hearing music playing fun and interesting songs. When I hear the weather outside on my window. I can smell some delicious food made by my dad. When I smell a sometimes smelly dog that is so cute and silly. When I taste scrumptious food being eating and some cool refreshing water. Some warm hot chocolate with marshmallows and whip cream when the weather is cold or stormy. What I feel is my dog licking me when I get home or when I am just chilling. I feel my warm cozy blanket when I am in my bed or on the couch. When I am on my bed, I feel my squishy soft stuffies. I feel my fluffy, adorable dog. I feel joyful when my family goes downstairs and plays video games together or when we play board games together. When we decorate our house for Christmas and Halloween. I moved from Coquitlam to Vancouver Island, and I felt upset around that time. I thought home was a place where you are with friends, loved ones and memories. Now that I have moved, I still think that is what home means but at my new house just like at my old house I feel safe, loved, happy and many more. Sure, every now and then I miss my friends, and I am pretty sure they miss me, but we will always have that time together. That is what I think the meaning of a home means to me. What about you? What does the meaning of home mean to you?
