Meaning of Home

Home feels joyful and happy, calm when it needs to be, and never boring. I love how home is cozy and warm when it is cold outside, cool and refreshing when it is hot outside, and it is always the perfect temperature. Home always feels comfortable and welcoming. Home sounds exciting and fun during the day, quiet and calm at night, and it usually sounds like a whole mix of different genres of music because at my home, we are always playing amazing music. During dinner, the kitchen sounds like laughter and exciting conversations about our next family adventure. In the morning, my home smells like crispy bacon, cooked to perfection, light and fluffy scrambled eggs, and all the flavorful scents combine to create this delicious breakfast smell. In the evening, the kitchen smells like a flavourful dinner is coming together. The sweet and fresh smells mix in with the savory, salty, and spicy smells to produce a scrumptious aroma. My home tastes like spectacular food that my parents cook, like salads with flavourful dressing, drizzled over crunchy lettuce leaves, resting on a bed of spinach or other fresh vegetables. I am always baking and experimenting with new recipes to see how they taste, and I love baking with my family because whatever we create together always turns out amazing. I love home for all those reasons, but also because home is where my family is, home is where I am loved, I feel safe and sound, and home is where I belong.
