Meaning of Home

First, I think of home when my grandma makes French toast because my family loves French toast. I also think of plants when I think of home because my house has a lot of plants. The meaning of home to me is the laughter I hear everyday and the bright sun that keeps me warm. I always hear and see the squirrels that chirp and chase and jump in my front and back yard. Every morning I hear a car start and a dog bark or someone shoveling because it is winter. I feel safe in my house because my mom always locks the doors. I always smell food because my mom and dad cook a-lot which makes my house smell delicious. I always see the same people, trees, and houses. For me the meaning of home is the city of Calgary because I have lived there for almost 10 years. I always see the magpies and the beautiful blue sky and green grass. When I walk home from the bus stop I feel comfortable because I know the area and I am not lost. When it is winter I see the beautiful white coat that covers the pretty city. When I see a dog I think of home because our neighborhood has a lot of dogs. Also, I think of home when I plants because our home is filled with lots of lovely green plants Finally, the meaning of house v.s home is different for me because house means like a permanent structure or building. A house can still be a house even if there is no one living in it. And a home means made with love and where you have an emotional attachment to. Sometimes whoever you are with or what you can see makes you feel at home because sometimes it doesn’t matter where you are it is who you are with. In conclusion, that is what the meaning means to me.
