What Home Means to Me

Home isn’t just a building, it's where you have memories and spend time with your family. The meaning of home to me is what you love. It’s what you think of every day, it’s what you smell every day, the hot air warms my nose, it’s when you know you belong, it’s like when you walk in the door and you know you're invited. It’s when you feel a warm blanket wrapped around you. It’s where you have laughs and jokes, a home is part of your life, it's where you go when you're feeling down. It feels like your home is giving you a huge hug. A house is a permanent structure and a home is your location. Your home is a part of your family. When I know I’m at home it is when my dad had just turned on the Toronto Maple Leafs game and my mom is just getting home from work and my brother is doing his homework. Home is where you go when you're scared or lost, home is a family member. I know it’s home when my mom has just punchneedle after a big meal and my dad is making coffee. Wherever you have laughs and hugs that’s where your home is, your home can be big, your home can be small, but it doesn’t matter because your home is full of memories and laughter. It's not just a city it can be all over the place but nothing can beat your family. Home is where you have lovely meals. Nothing can beat my home. Home is where you try new things, it’s the most comfortable place. Home is where you cook, home is where you play games and eat delicious food, home is where you smile, it’s where you keep precious things.
