What Home Means to Me
I have a Home and a house, some people will say they are the same thing. I don't think so, I think a Home is wherever you feel love. Where other people feel love towards you. Even if they are on the other side of the earth, they are still my Home. My Home is anywhere my family is, where I can be myself. My true, kind, creative, self. Some people don't give that side of me a chance, but when I'm Home, I can be myself and my family supports me.All of me. Sometimes when Home feels far away, I get lost in a book. Whether it's a comedy or a romance, a comic, or a historical fiction, books always ground me and bring me back Home. Or they help me float away, to where my brother can't annoy me. It hurts my heart to think that some people don't have the support of the family that I have. So, thank you, Habitat for Humanity for supporting people. You are not just raising money to build houses; you are building Homes where people can feel safe and loved.
