Meaning of Home
What does home mean to me? To me home means family because this is where my family lives. In my home I live with: Joshua (my brother), my mom, my dad, Nanny, Poppy, Touton (my dog), and Andy (Nanny and Poppy's cat). I like to play board games with my family. Some of our favourite games to play are Sorry, Crib, and Uzzle.
To me home means food, because I always have good snacks to eat and my mom always makes us dinner. My dad sometimes makes food, but my mom makes it better! Sometimes Nanny makes us cookies!
Home means my dog Touton. Touton is our cute 14 year old beagle. He follows me around everywhere. Touton is very funny because whenever he is at Nanny's and she opens the oven, takes out the vegetable chopper, or if the smoke alarm goes off he runs upstairs.
Home also means friends because I play with my neighbour Aria a lot and we almost always go to my house. Home is also where I was born, right here in Victoria. To me home also means you are mostly happy and having a lot of fun! Home feels safe, except in the dark when I feel a little scared.
Home means cozy and comfortable. It feels really cozy when my mom turns off all the lights except for the lamps in the living room when we play board games or read. The most comfy spot for me is in my room or in my bed with all my pillows and my giant Squish mellow. My favorite pillow is the cat wearing a giraffe costume that Noelle gave me for my birthday.
Home doesn't just mean the building that you live in. It's the people, feelings, and the place you feel most comfortable in.
