My Home

Home is the place that shields you from the world even when you think that's impossible. Home isn't just a building where you sleep, eat and play, it's the place where your life is. Yes, your bedroom is for sleeping, but it also represents you. You put your personality all over the walls and floor by the colors and things that you choose to display. In my home, you can smell the sweet smell of the grape jelly meat balls or the Sunday breakfast from the kitchen. Once you walk in you automatically feel soft short fur from our cat at your feet begging for food. You hear the plates clattering when they come out of the cabinet . If you ever come by, don't forget to listen for the kids running down the stairs when “ dinner is ready ” is called. In the living room after a long day you can just plop down on the most comfy couch, it may not be but it sure feels like that. You can see the photos of me and my entire family's history, between when my mom and dad first met to who I am now. So in conclusion, thank you Habitat for Humanity for giving other people a chance to have a home and for letting me tell you about my story and help others create theirs.
