My Home

I used to ponder as to where is my home. Was it where I was or was it here where I am. Today I wonder no longer because I know my home is where I stand and where my family is. Home is more than a house; home is where we all cook in the kitchen basking in the smells of food and always at the top of our mood. Where we all bundle up by the fire and talk about our day and read in a calm silence. All our trips and adventures, escapades and long days all hung up on the wall, tell story of adventure, pain and more. Our garage, our playroom both words to describe where we go to enjoy each other’s company and play games till night. Our living room the calmest place in the house where Christmas’s are spent with laughter and fun. Where we all go after a long day of school to feel the comfort of home once more. Although I leave my house for going to see family, I don’t leave my home behind. home follows me to all the places of I go whether its grandma and grandpa’s or nana and papa’s I will always feel at home. My room the place I go when I’m down the place I spent a lot of my time home injured the place where I can dive into worlds of adventure, drama and suspense via my books. My bed My retreat where I can go when I really need to. In the end Home is where I stand home is where I feel safe and where my family is. Thank you habitat for humanity, my dad is on the Comox board.
