The Meaning of Home

Home isn’t just the place I live. Home should be a place where I feel comfortable, safe and happy but it’s also a place where I can let out your strong emotions that I wouldn't let out anywhere else. I love the feeling of belonging when I’m in my house. Outside when the thunder booms and the rain is pouring, I am inside my house laughing and talking with my family. Other times we would be watching a movie together. My mom would pop the popcorn and drizzle warm salty butter all over it. No matter what I do, no matter what I say in my home, I will always be accepted, supported and loved. All the special moments are celebrated whether they are in the past or present. Home is layers of warmth and love. Home is where I feel safe. Home is where my dogs are. Home is where my heart is.
