Home and House, is there a difference?

Home, house. I never thought there would be a difference. But I started to notice. I started to realize that there is a big difference between house and home. Home A home is not just stuff. A home is love and joy. My happy place. A place where I’m taken care of and where I’m safe. I live with my family in my home. People think my walls have small pictures but their memories are strong. It feels like our greatest memories are frozen in time and kept forever. My mom makes culinary creations that I can sometimes help out with. We’re working together to create a meal with a cup of love and a tablespoon of care. When you’re moving away, your house gets left behind but your home will always be by your side. House A house is just a building. A house is just a place. A house can’t wrap you in a hug. A house can have walls, doors and windows but they can’t bring back memories of great times and important events in your life. A house can have rooms and furniture but they're not as great as your family. Home, house. I never thought there would be a difference. But I started to understand. There is a big difference. But I’m fine with that. Because I’m not lonely. I’m safe. I’m cared for. I’m with my family. I’m happy. I’m comforted. I’m supported. I am Loved
