The Place I Call Home

Home is a place that you are welcome in, it is where your family and friends come together or celebrate but you can also just be together because sometimes that’s all you really need. When I am in my home I feel joy and I hear laughter. When my family plays our favourite games we all are happy for each other if we win or not. Home is a place where you can tell people things and they won’t judge you or say what you are doing is wrong when it is not but maybe it is to them so you can just sort it out. Home is a place where everybody accepts you for who you are, I have two homes, at my mom's house all my cats will comfort me when I’m sad. At my dad's house we all do things together like making things out of wood because my dad is an engineer. Me and my brother always play foosball and chess together at our foosball table. We have lots of fun, we also like to hang out with each other on my couch in my room. I love my brother and he loves me. My home is filled with warmth, safety, and support that my home and family provides to me. And to my family I’m one of the people that provides that to them. Over the years I have realized that home isn’t just a building you sleep and eat in, home is a place where you’re cared for and you have lots of support in. And that is the meaning of home.
