The Meaning of Home
When I’m home, I feel safe, I feel warm and cozy. When I’m home I am safe, I am warm and cozy. When I’m home I am with the people I love, I care about. I am with my pets, I am with my mom, and my dad, I am with my warm bed, I am with my blankets. When I’m home, I don’t just see home, I feel home.
I feel the warmth, I feel the past, and I feel further, I can see further, though it may be new and different, it’s still home. Home is not bad, not bad at all. Home is where I am. As they say, “Home is where you hang your hat.” But sometimes, it's not where you hang your hat, you may hang your hat at a hotel, but that's not home.
Home is where you feel safe, home is where you feel home. You may not feel at home at the hotel, but you may feel at home at school, but is that really your home? Do you feel the same warm and cozy’s as you would at your house? Home, you have to feel it, not just see it.
Home isn’t where you hang your hats, it’s where you feel at home, you feel the warmth, and you feel the same as you would when you are sad, and you hug or sit with someone you love, like your parents. You feel safe. You feel warm. You feel home.
