What Home Means to Me

A house isn't just a building - it is a home and it is like a friend. Every time you walk into it it's like a warm hug. And whenever it's cold it hugs you like a warm blanket. Or if it's raining or stormy it stand’s above you keeping you out of the rain or thunder or lightning. It's like a giant umbrella standing above you. To me home is my happy place where I can do what I want. Home is what makes me happy. When I’m upset home is where I like to calm down the most. Home is where I feel safe. Home would never be as nice with out family in it. It wouldn't be the same. I wouldn't smell the smell of my mom’s chocolate chip cookies, I wouldn't be able to play hide n seek with my little sister and I wouldn't be able to watch movies with my dad and laugh together. Home is where I always can feel happy. That’s what home means to me!
