The Meaning of Home

From the outside it's just a house but on the inside, it is my home, my safe place, where I get hugs and kisses. Home is the place where I was born and the place where I was raised. It’s like a picture book, it holds all our special memories even though it’s small. My home wouldn't be the same if there were no family living in it. Everybody's family is different; they all have stories to tell and to keep. I love to hear my cats meowing, fire crackling and rain pounding on the roof at night. And when morning comes, I can smell the yummy breakfast on the stove, and when I taste it it’s even better. Snow days at my house were the best. When we would build snow forts. We’d have snowball fights, build snowmen and most of all I love the steaming hot chocolate, and the sticky melted marshmallows. It's so comforting to feel soft kitty fur, and cold grass in the morning when I step outside. I love my home so much. I feel safe, calm, comfortable, loved, and cared for.
