Something I Call Home

Home is a place to feel risk free, safe and secure. For me home is a place where I feel accepted, loved and joyful. When I moved from my home it was like losing someone I loved dearly. I had to leave my home for a new start. I called that new start a new chapter in my life. Day after day and year after year, I felt forlorn. The day I arrived at this “New Chapter In my Life”. My world spun 360’s and suddenly a new emotion unlocked in my life “Homesick they called it”. I was so dearly sad but all that changed. I met people who had been in the same position. They supported me in the move and helped me, my mom and my sister in this new change. Life at the “New Chapter of my life’’ was different. At my old home outside it never snowed. It never was this cold there. The warmth I so dearly missed had fallen out of my hands like sand. I started changing. From joyful to sad, until I started calling cousins and family. Reconnecting made me cheerful, it made my broken heart heal.
