Dear Home

Ever since I first went to school, I thought the week would never end. It was really making my mind bend. I cried every morning when I had to go to school. My tears could fill up an entire pool. One morning, I woke up late for school, and I didn’t wanna go. I asked my mom, please, but she said I had to go. I missed two classes, ain’t no homework. But the teacher tells the class that I'm some kinda jerk. I heard about weekends and said “YIPEE!” My mom asked me why I shouted with glee. I told her about weekends when you don’t go to school. She said, “It’s Friday night.” I said, “That’s cool.” We watched a movie, it was a comedy. My family and I thought it was funny. My home tastes like the food I love. It looks like the clouds up above. It smells like delicious crepes. It feels like a place where I am safe. It sounds like a happy place. My home is a place where you are protected. My home is a place where you are respected. Home is a place you are filled with joy. Home is a place where you can play with toys. I love my home because there I am safe. I love my home because it’s a happy place.
