HOME IS WHERE MY FAMILY IS

Picture this, you get home and your parent is there waiting for you. How do you feel? Happy, sad, anxious, nervous, or other? To me, I feel at home and home to me is wherever my family is because family makes me happy. Home to me smells like pancakes on a relaxed Sunday morning. My Mom's boyfriend makes the most delicious, fluffy, pancakes. My Mom prepares the fruit and eggs and sometimes bacon. We all sit and eat together and talk about the adventure we are planning for the day. My home sounds like the birds singing outside my window in the morning. It also sounds like us whacking the letters on 'Tapple' and shouting "I win!" when we play board games. I love the sound of my parents' voices. If you looked in my window you would see laughter, joy, and happiness. My home is a place where I feel safe, happy, and secure. I know I am lucky to feel this way. This is what home means to me. What does home mean to you?
