What is a Home?
A home is more than a house. A house is just a building but a home is a safe place.
A home to me is a safe spot where you can feel at peace smelling a meal, cooking on the stove and hearing the TV play while me and mom watch Percy Jackson. It’s seeing my nice home with my family inside and feeling the soft blankets on my bed. In my home, we have gatherings in the shed with family and my parents' friends; there's a lot of good food and music. The fires in the yard under the stars and the smell of s'mores cooking on the fire. Playing in the back yard, laughing, while dad gets mad putting the trampoline together, and I'm just hanging on the monkey bars. It’s mom drinking her coffee in the living room, watching her show in the corner of the couch. It’s the dog sitting on the edge of the couch like a cat, barking at everything when half the time nothing is there anyway. It’s my sister in her room watching her show on her bed. My brother in his room playing games or sleeping and me in my room watching my show in bed, half asleep. It’s nice to know I have a home to go to.
