WHAT I CALL HOME
Home is more than a place or a line on a map. It is not only walls, rooms, or an address. Home is a feeling that lives in my heart. Home is love, kindness, and the people who are always there for me. It is where I can breathe, be myself, and feel understood. Home is where my story begins and where my heart rests after a long day. It is where I feel protected, welcomed, and valued. Whether the house is quiet or full of noise, home is the space where I know I belong.
H is for happiness — my peaceful place where joy quietly shines. Happiness in my home is found in little things: warm hugs, kind words, shared meals, and the comfort of being together. It is the smile that meets me at the door and the calm that settles over me when I feel tired.
O is for openness — where voices are heard, and feelings are respected. At home, I can speak freely without fear. I can share my dreams, my worries, and my thoughts, knowing I will be listened to. Openness also means laughter, honest conversations, and gentle forgiveness.
M is for moments — the small and big times we spend together. It is bedtime stories, homework help, weekend fun, holiday traditions, and everyday teamwork. These moments become my memories, and my memories become part of who I am.
E is for encouragement — a place where I am supported and lifted up. Home reminds me that I matter. Even when I make mistakes, I am still loved. Encouragement gives me confidence, strength, and courage to keep going.
My home is where I feel safe, confident, and secure. Home is where I belong. Home is me, today and always and will be forever.
