The Power of Home

I think that having a home is awesome. If I didn’t have a home, I would think I am not respected and I would feel lonely. When I am at home, I feel safe and comfortable. I would also feel respected. My home is full of me and my mom’s art. If my house didn’t have a lot of art, I wouldn’t call my house a home. Me and my mom love painting pictures and creating new artworks. We also draw a lot. We used to have a pet Golden Retriever named Chacha. I was so sad when Chacha died because of cancer. He was 13 years old when he died. I wish I could hear Chacha barking, but I can always feel the fluffy fur that Chacha had. My home is filled with memories with him. Every day, I sleep with my stuffies but my favourite stuffed animal is the penguin and her name is Penn. You should sleep with your stuffy. Mostly with your most favourite stuffy. I got Penn when I was still a baby. I made her some clothes. I always bring Penn everywhere I go. I love Penn. I never heard any unkind words in our home. My home is full of kindness and love. I am grateful to have my own soft bed and my room full with my creations and memories. When I think about my home, I think about the rocky mountains because I go skiing there every year. In the summer, I go hiking in the mountains. Other than the Rocky Mountains, I love going camping. I think home isn’t just about inside the house. It is all around my city and province.
