Home is Where the Memories Are

The meaning of home to me is a nice place where I feel loved, safe, and can be away from all the negativity. When I get home from school my mom will take my backpack, open it up and say “How was your day at school today?” And I would say “It was good, I guess.” My dog Cooper comes to see my dad. My dad picks him up and Cooper licks my dad’s nose. I love Cooper. I wish I could see him every day, but he passed away. The next day I come downstairs and I smell bacon and sausage. I eat breakfast then go get dressed for school and leave, I get home from school and a new dog is here Murphy, our neighbour’s dog. He just turned one on October thirty first. I am grateful to have a home because if I didn’t I wouldn’t be happy anymore and being happy is really important to me. The walls and roof of my home are built with memories, love, and happiness. Sometimes it feels like I can be whoever I want, but sometimes it feels like I don’t belong. It’s hard being a kid, not being able to choose things for yourself. Some people don’t have a home, no where to live.
