What Home Means to Me

In my home I feel loved and supported because I connect with my family. In my home I can feel safe. My home helps me to make thousands of memories. A great home is a place where you feel loved. My home is important to me because my family is always there for me. A home should be a place where you feel loved. There are many examples of love in a family. Family shows love by being supportive through difficult times and making sure that you’re doing well. For example, when I had a rough time at school my parents showed me love by making sure I got the help I needed to succeed. My family loves me when I am scared or not feeling well, because they make me feel better. A home is full of love when the family spends time together and cares about each other. Home to me is where I can feel safe. A safe home is where I have a cozy bed and a sanitary place to eat with enough food. A safe home is where I relax, get away from stress and feel calm. A safe home is where I feel comfortable to explain certain things to my family that are important to me. For example, I feel safe to explain some personal things to my Mom and Dad without worrying that they will judge me. I know that I can safely make mistakes. In a safe home I can feel confident, and powerful in my own way just by being myself. An amazing home is where I can make a thousand memories. I make those wonderful memories with my family: my parents, my little brother, my uncle and my grandmother. They are all important people in my family. An example of a memory I won’t forget is the 2021 NHL finals. The Montreal Canadiens were playing against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Almost all of my family was there watching the game. I felt so happy to be together watching such exciting hockey. Memories that I make at home with my family will stay with me forever. A home helps us to remember who we are and where we came from. A home is place where family can feel safe. We can make many memories with family in a home. A great home is full of love. My favourite thing about my home is that it is a supportive and loving place. Imagine being in a home where you don’t feel loved, safe or supported. Life would be so horrible. I hope that in the future everyone can live in a safe and loving home.
