The Place I Call Home
Home is the place where all your worries can float away. When you're sad or have a bad day, home is the place you can be yourself. When the cares of the world challenge you, you can enter your home and forget all about it. Your family will always be there to comfort you on your bad days.
When I think of home, I think of the most brilliant place you would ever set foot in. When I smell mom’s homemade soup, I feel cared for and loved. Sometimes when I go for a sleepover, it just doesn’t feel like home. That’s why I only have one place to call home. The most important thing about a home is the feeling you get when you enter your home. When I enter my home, after playing in the snow, I feel warm and peaceful. There is no place that I would rather be than home. Often we play games, like Ticket to Ride, or Clue. My family has a tradition of eating mom’s pizza and watching a movie on Fridays. Home is the place I feel most comfortable being in. I enjoy it when my sister and I do karaoke. Joy is spread throughout the household when everything is quiet or at least when there are no fights. A home is more than what it appears on the outside; it’s a place where memories are made. The kitchen is the place where the cook of the home makes all the delicious foods. The bedroom, you may think, is just the place where you sleep, but no. It’s more than that. It’s the place where you can say what you feel or tell your secrets. My home is my happy place.
