House vs. Home

House vs. Home Just because you have a house doesn’t mean you can call it home.Home has family and lets laughter and joy echo throughout. As I sit in my living room I smell the wonderful smell of fresh baked cookies and just lit candles. A home is the best place to go if you had a rough day at school, or a horrible day at work. A home has love. A home makes you feel loved and makes you feel best when you are at home. When I’m at home I feel the most safe and protected. Think of home as a warm blanket, covering your head keeping you warm and keeping your secrets safe between you and your family. We might all have things like a bedroom, furniture, and kitchen but that doesn’t make a house a home. It’s the family around us, and the emotions that bring us together and make a house a home. To me, a home cooked meal is the best meal. Every Christmas, Thanksgiving, and any other time my family all comes together for a holiday, we always have jiggs dinner and it's the best meal every time we are together. In my opinion it’s our family that always makes every meal better. Every time we are together and we finish eating, we will always sit down and enjoy the rest of our day playing games and talking. I’m so thankful for having a home and everything in it but I'm extremely thankful for having a wonderful family and the love between us. Thank you to Habitat for Humanity for donating the money.
