My Home

My home is not a building; it is my sanctuary, my calmness, and my safety. Every day, I think about people who need a home and thank God that I am not one of them. That’s why having a home is so important. If you have furniture, you already have everything you need, and some people don’t even have that. If we have a stove and food, we are set to prepare for life. Some people don’t wake up every morning to a good breakfast because they don’t even have something to make a hot dish. That’s why we thank Habitat for Humanity for what they do. This contest encourages young kids to realize that life isn’t always perfect. They build homes for people who need them, and I think it’s important to teach kids how meaningful this work is. So we should all appreciate what they’re doing.
