Meaning of Home

Home is a peaceful and relaxing space where you can read or use your imagination, watch tv, play board games or take a nap. Home is a place where you should be able to let out your emotions in a healthy way without feeling held back. I knew a version of home that was built out of yelling and fighting, but home is not meant to be like that. A home is where the people around you want to find the right way to teach or help you, not pressure and yell at you. Home does not need to be massive, it just needs to be safe. If you don’t feel safe at home, chances are it’s not safe. A home is somewhere that you can’t be judged or made fun of. A home is a place that you can come back to and say, HOME SWEET HOME. I went through a lot growing up, and I don’t want other kids to grow up knowing what a home isn’t and what a home is instead. Home doesn’t need two parents, it just needs safety.
