The Story of Home

Home joy is in the air! My mom is baking a cake and my grandpa is telling ancient tales of medieval times. Dad and I are playing video games. There are some things that make home feel special. Home is a place that makes you feel warm and comfortable. Home sounds like the birds chirping in the backyard in the summer. I always love the strong smell of my moms currys when I come home from school. Even when I race my dad in the backyard, it is a small memory, it is a big thing. My family brings lots of joy and laughter in the house making it a strong place to grow up. All of these memories, I will carry onward through each stage in my life. My mom is a full time, hard working mom. I do what I can to help her like doing the dishes or helping fold the washed clothes. She has to go to the office two or three times a week. Sometimes, we get into a few fights or get emotional, but we always make up. I am very grateful to have a home that gives me food, and a place to sleep. I know that not all people can afford homes, that's why our class is donating to Habitat for Humanity so more people can afford homes.
