What Home Means to Me
Home is when you turn the key, and walk through the doorway,
And home is where your bed is, at the end of a long day.
Home is where where your friends are, so you laugh and play,
And where there are the people, that will be with you all the way.
Home is when you’re gloomy, and dark and sad and grey,
But you know someone is there, to tell you it's okay.
Home is that nice happy feeling, as warm as the sun’s rays,
And when you go see relatives, a smile is on display.
Home is where your dog is, who will lick you with glee,
And home is where your house is, in any town or city.
Home is when you climb the branches of your favourite tree,
And home is when your grandma makes pie… After you eat your peas.
Home is when you see your sibling, grinning happily,
And home is at your favorite park, and you run around wild and free.
All that, and so much more… That, is what home means to me.
