What Home means to Me

For everyone that needs to know what a home is and what it means to me. A home isn't like any other place I've been to. It’s a place where I am loved every day, every time, by the people I love. It’s a place where I stay, even if I leave it I always go back. My home gives me the shelter I need, to stay in and to rest or sleep. In my bed that I share with the soft blanket around me. The shelter that it gives me is like a warm hug from someone I love. A home stores my belongings, each one in a certain place. My home holds my memories, each one that I made and was captured. As I go on I will make many more, and when I do my home makes space for them. They are like stars that shine in sky when it’s put in place to bring me and my family memories. A home always welcomes everyone that comes in. My home makes sure that I get warm when I am cold. In my home there is happiness. It’s where I live and a place I will never leave. It is where I eat whenever I get hungry. My home is everything to me, without it I wouldn’t have survived. Now this is what it feels like to be in a home and what it means to me. By: Zareen Limbada
