Home Is Hope

Home is not just a house with walls and a roof. To me, home is a feeling that wraps around me like a warm blanket on a cold day. It is a place where I can laugh as loud as I want, and cry when I need to, and I know someone will always care. Home is where family is, it is the sound of my mom calling me for dinner, and the way we share stories at the table, it is the smell of bread baking in the oven, and the purr of my cat on my lap. Home is also the small things, it is my favourite part on the couch and the creaky spot on the floor everyone knows about. Even if I travel away someday, I know this is not just a building, it will be the people who love me, and the memories we share, home means safety, love, and belonging. Home Is Hope.
