My view of home.

Home is not “just a place to live”, it's a feeling, a hideout, where I feel safe and loved and accepted. In my understanding, home is much more than a structure of wood and bricks. It is that place where my heart finds rest and my soul is at peace. Whether it be a college dorm room or a nostalgic childhood house, a home is about the warmth of relationships and memories it holds. Home means being myself, coming as I am, without judgment or masking. It's where the laughter feels like paradise, conversations are left on for much longer after they have been made, and more so, silence doesn't feel awkward. For me, it is not about perfection but about connections and space filled with love and cherished memories. Familiar foods cooking in the kitchen, favourite music playing softly, and the sight of family heirlooms add to what makes a home alive. It serves as a shelter from the roughness of the world outside, recharging and a time for reflection. Home is a place of growth, where I learn life's lessons, build my strength, and plant dreams. Home is not one place, it could be a person, it could be a community or even a memory. Sometimes, it is the happiness of your loved one or being with someone dear that feels like home. After all, home is where love lives, the synonym of love itself you could say. It reminds me of what truly matters, not things, but the bonds nurtured and comfort flowing from simply living. For me, home is where my heart finds its anchor.
