What Home Means to Me A house has walls and a roof but home has family. A house can be small with a large and happy family in it. A house can be large with a small but sad family. Houses don’t decide a family’s home, houses decide where you live at the moment. It doesn’t matter where your home is because it will always be the same home, but when you move houses it will never be the same house. Homes are only created by family, without family there would never be a thing called a home and there would only be houses. Homes can only be a thing if people can be happy and have fun where they live. You need to be able to feel safe and know you won’t get hurt at home. If you are sure one will hurt you, it indicates that you are really at home. It isn’t a house if you aren’t happy and you feel depressed or any other negative feelings. A house can look really nice but a home has memories Your house can get destroyed but you can always get a new one. If you lose a family member your home will never be the same.
