Beyond The Walls

Title: Home: Most people think about home as a structure made of brick and mortar. But I believe home is MUCH MORE than this. Today, I will take you through a journey of thoughts when I think about home. When I step into my house, I’m immediately welcomed by the scent of my favorite meals being made. I am embraced by the resonant sound of the TV speaker, the footsteps of my mischievous brother running away from my mom and the sound of my dad clacking the computer keys. Then, I glance at the center of the house. A place where I can relax, bond with friends and family and replace my worries with laughter. This place is called the living room. This is the area where our family reflects on our past and contemplates the future. Striding to my bedroom, a monster-free area and a place built out of trust and imagination. A spot where comfort is at its finest. It is a special area where I can release all my emotions and feelings varying from anger and sadness to happiness and excitement. After a long day, the bathroom is the perfect place to freshen the body, mind and thoughts. As the warm water glides through my skin, new thoughts arise like the steam around me. I just can’t choose which is better, warm solitude or sense of freshness. Even on the coldest days of winter or the hottest days of summer, you, the basement, provide me the joy of fun and enjoyment. Home is made of bricks of love, safety and trust. Every aspect of a home is perfect so everyone in this world deserves one. So at the end, you cannot define the true meaning of home inside the four walls. You have to think BEYOND THE WALLS!
