If I wanted to live in cities which is filled with bustling urban life and at the doorstep of unparalleled access to outdoor adventures, making it easier to enjoy the magnificent towering mountains, the Pacific Ocean, breathe crisp air, soak in natural hot springs, where every season is festive season, nestled among pristine, glacier-fed lakes in various shades of blue, get fascinated by the rolling farmlands, and golden wheat fields, witness breathtaking sunsets and impressive displays of the northern lights, spot polar bears, enjoy honey dill, Slurpee, and perogies – this is home British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. If I wanted to live in the key economic driver of the country offering plenty of amenities and opportunities for growth and diverse immigrant population, with skyscrapers to lots of green spaces, with its rich history and a place that has known to have something for everyone, experience unique French-Canadian culture with extraordinary history, with vibrant festivals and events throughout the year like Comic Con to Cirque du Soleil – this is home - Ontario and Quebec. If I wanted to live around rugged coastline, view tides, rock formation, sand dunes, enjoy cuisines rich in salmon, lobsters, shellfish and mussel, dip in warm saltwater beaches, explore lighthouses, adapt a slower pace of life, embrace unique climate, view coastlines with icebergs, whales, puffins and birds, find rich history, find lovely fishing village full of wharves, boats and get incredible views of the Milky Way, witness the charm of small-town vibes, the conveniences of a bustling metropolis, and be a part of island hospitality - this is home - New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. If I wanted to live in remote wilderness experiences taking me out of my comfort zone, if I am in search of vibrant communities, unique cultural heritage and landscapes that test my free spiritedness, with the most spectacular visuals of nature as a backdrop - this is home - Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut. I live in my home in Ontario, Canada, and I hope every kid finds a place to settle and call home.
