The True Meaning of Home

Home is not just a place with tall fences around grand houses, with fancy decorations inside. It’s not about having luxury cars parked outside. Instead, home is where your family is, where love and support bring everyone together. Home is a place of comfort—not just a lavish space with a King-sized bed, a large-screen TV, and people serving you. It is where family members help each other out when needed, ensuring no one ever feels left out or alone. For me, home is a cozy room with a soft, puffy bed and a warm blanket. It is the comforting sight of my mom cooking dumplings and my dad baking cakes. It is the soothing sound of wind blowing outside, the gentle clink of bowls, plates, cups and chopsticks, the vroom sound of cars rushing by outside. It is the aroma of delicious dumplings and freshly baked cakes. It may not be extravagant, but it is filled with warmth, love and the joy of helping one another. Home is a soft place to land—a safe, comfortable and happy space filled with cherished traditions. It is a shelter, a refuge, and where everyone belongs.
