What is a Home?

One merely ordinary day, Stevie woke up, got ready, and went to school. At school, Stevie realized she had a question. So at snack time, she asked the teacher, “What does ‘home’ mean?” Her teacher replied, “A home is a place where you have shelter.” Stevie considered this. Then, after school, she got on the bus and asked her friend, “what does home mean?” Her friend said, ”A home is a place where you are loved and protected.” Then, during dinner, Stevie asked her mom, “What does home mean?” Her mom said, “It is a place where you feel like you belong.” At night, Stevie decided that she would think about it tomorrow. *The Next Day* Stevie woke up, got dressed, and went downstairs. During breakfast, she considered everything she had heard yesterday and realised something. “I think that” She said slowly, as she was trying to process it. “Home means a place where you belong, a place where you have shelter, and a place where you are loved and protected.” The End.
