My Home
If you ever hear me saying “I want to go home” you can now find out why. My home is the place that brings me happiness. My home is the place that holds all my emotions, happy, sad, excited, or nervous.
It is the place where I feel safe. It is the place where there is peace, and no war. I never have to worry about losing it because of the war like I used to in my home country.
It is the place that brings me warmth. Not only because of the heater, but also because of my family. They always make me feel a warm welcoming feeling in my heart.
Even though I left my old house because of a war that was happening, I learnt how to make a new house a new home, just like my old one.
My home isn’t simply a place with some walls and a roof. It is the place that holds all my memories, whether they're happy or sad.
My home is the place where I can be myself. It is the place where I’m not always all dressed up. I would probably be in my PJs. It is the place where my hair isn’t always brushed. I would probably have it in a messy bun. It is the place where I can be “me” without being afraid of being judged.
My home is the first place I would always want to be. Playing with my siblings. Talking and laughing with my parents. Eating the delicious meals that my mom cooks. Enjoying a good book on my bed. Always expressing how I feel.
A home is something that everyone deserves. I really hope one day that might come true. For me, that is the meaning of home.
