Meaning of Home And The Meaning Of Memories
Home is many things. home is a kitchen, a basement, a bedroom, a living room, a garden, a bathroom and more. But home isn't just rooms, it is the memories that come with them. Feelings, memories, smells and family. In the wise words of Elvis Presley “Home is where the heart is.”
The kitchen is room full of delicious smells and even better food. We all sit at the kitchen table and talk about our day. The cat eats too and then he walks around our legs. We clean up the table together. We all have dessert, Sundaes, cookies, cake or pie. In the kitchen we always have fun.
My bedroom is a quiet place. It is not just for sleeping. It is for reading, relaxing, chatting with friends and playing games. After a long day I always know that I can come home and crawl right into bed. The art on my walls has grown with me. I have art from kindergarten up to my art now. I have posters of my favorite singers and paintings from professionals.
Living rooms aren't just couches and TVs. They have memories of family game nights and thanksgiving political debates. All the stains on the carpet from chocolate milk and juice that have been marinating over years and years all have stories of their own just waiting to share. The coffee table is in the center of everything, holding a charcuterie board and apple juice listening to all our conversions. Memories of first steps and fist words all in the living room.
Home is funny, happy, tasty, quiet, loud, calm, rambunctious and everything in between. Home has tasty smells and tasty food, fun conversations at dinner time. Quiet, calm, relaxing my room is my space. Memories of heated conversations and milestones Home is made of memories.
