Home is not a House

Home Is Not a House By: Lela Halliday Home is so much different than a house, a house has walls, roof, and a floor, but a home has love and joy. A house is just a structure, but in a home you walk in and feel love and happiness. In a home you don’t have to worry, but in a house you may have lots of things on your mind. Ina home you can be sure that when you walk in there will be a happy family waiting for you. In a house you can wake up to an alarm clock ringing, But in a home you hear birds chirping and the smell of a great meal prepared downstairs. A home can start out as a house, but over time love and memories form, and that's what makes it a home. A house can be in any place in the world, but it’s still not the same as a home. I suppose that you could live in a home even if you live alone, but a home is so much better with loved ones and family. It doesn't matter if your home is new or old, if love and memories are still inside it then it can still be your home. A home and a house are just so much more different from each other that it is hard to find a word to describe how different they are from each other. A home is filled with love and kindness, when a house is just plain. Please donate to Habitat For Humanity!
