What does home mean to me?

When I walk into my house I see my family; which is my sister, mom, dad, two dogs and fish. I have a lot of fun family times like watching movies and playing a lot of games. My dad also tells a lot of funny jokes and my mom makes sure we are taken care of. What do I hear in my house? I hear My family talking, dogs barking, coyotes howling at night and sometimes, just the calm sounds of living in the country. What do I smell? I smell my mom baking some yummy cookies or banana muffins and nice smelling candles. We have a lot of them. What do I feel? I feel love, hugs, kisses and my dog's soft fur. I also live in my great grandma’s house. That means a lot to me because I feel connected to my ancestors. Home is a safe place where you can trust the people that you are around. It does not matter what size my home is, or how it looks. What home means to me is the people who are in it, the welcoming feeling to my friends and family, and the warmth that is felt inside my heart. That is what home means to me.
