What is Home

Home is a place where you feel warmth, love, secure and safe. A space where we can be truly ourselves and enjoy every moment with our parents and siblings. Home is where we relax after a long day and celebrate our happiest moments and when we feel sad we help each other to get through the tough times. The cozy feelings of my bed and my favourite blanket. For me, home is the laughter shared around the dinner table, the smell of my favourite meal cooking in the kitchen, and the familiar feeling of my favourite chair. It’s the sound of my family’s voices, the pictures on the walls, and the memories we create together. Home is not just a building; it is the people who fill it with love and kindness. Unfortunately, not everyone has a safe and stable home. Many families struggle to find a place to live, and without a home, it is difficult for the children to focus on school and they don't feel secure and hopeful for the future when they are going through so much pain and with no roof on top. That is why organizations like Habitat for Humanity are so important. They help families build homes, providing them with a foundation for a better life. A home is not just a place to sleep it is a place to dream, grow, and build a future. To me, the meaning of home is love, safety, and belonging. It is where I feel the most comfortable and supported. Everyone deserves a home where they can feel safe and happy, and I hope that one day, every person will have a place to call their own.
