What Home Means to Me

Home is a place where your memories are in and all those memories are in your body. Home is all the times when you were little are always inside of you and inside your parents. Just remember that feeling. When you're at school, you don't feel the same as you do at home. At home, you're nice and warm but at school in wintertime, you always feel cold and not warm at all. Also at home, you have all your family members or friends (mom, dad, cousins) and pets. My mom yells time for dinner. And the whole house is filled with love and you can hear your brothers and sisters playing and screaming. At home, you feel safe, sad, and happy with all your feelings. You can smell so many different things like air, shower steam, perfume, cologne soap, and favourite food like my grandma loves to cook. I call my grandma ‘Nana” because that's what I'm used to. I love her so much but she went to visit her dad in Jamaica. She is coming back on February 12th. I’m so excited to see her on that day! But I'm mostly sad about my dad because I haven't got to see him since I was 6. I really miss him and I want to see him again but my mom said I can't see him until I'm older which makes me really sad.. But the good thing is I have other family members to spend time with so I won't be lonely. And sometimes me and my mom like to have our mother-daughter dates. We go to restaurants and movie theatres to watch movies. A home can be far or near. You might truly miss it when your loved ones are far away, but if you are lucky, your home stays close to you always.
