A Place Called Home
A Place Called “Home”
There’s a place called Home where worries do not reside,
Glee and happiness fill the room, all worries aside.
To me home isn’t just a place to stay or be,
It is also a place where I can feel free.
The living room, where many memories are made,
For in this home you won’t feel hate.
The feeling of happiness builds up in me,
When I am in this home with my family.
Playing along the hallways, Oh such fun,
With memories of laughter that can’t be won.
Me and my brothers playing hide and seek,
Feeling contented and cheery with no words to speak.
Amazing food being made in the kitchen,
Sinigang, tinola, and adobo chicken.
Joyful smells fill the kitchen air,
With smells that I cannot bear.
My bedroom, A loving place I adore to be,
With memories of fun where I can be me.
A place that provides me comfort and great pleasure,
With a feeling of love that has no measure.
My backyard, A place to enjoy and play,
And also a place I love to stay,
Swimming in the pool, getting wet with a splash,
You can run, jump, scream, and dash.
Birthdays, Christmas’, holidays, and more,
All of these things happened on this very floor.
Celebrations, party’s, anniversaries anew,
In this home, it seems like time flew.
Homes bring us together,
They bring us love and joy forever.
Everyone deserves a home.
