Meaning of Home

My home means more than four walls. I left my family in Colombia to come to Canada. I left everything. When I came to Canada, I was happy to see some familiar faces as some family was already here. Sometimes I think about my dog that we left behind in Colombia and I feel so sad. But I remind myself of feeling so happy that we changed houses. I was so sad about changing houses because of all the memories that we made back home. But my house now is a safe place. It is a place where I feel comfortable and where I laugh with my parents. Sometimes I cry, but my home now is the best!
