Home’s Meaning
For me, home is a place where you are and feels safe, home is also a place where you decorate things however you like, and wherever you like. Home is also like a bird's nest, both cozy and comfy.
Home is different for everyone; in my home, you can see my family together, sharing a warm meal, you can feel warm air from the furnace, you can smell a scented candle burning, you can hear Sucy the cat’s gentle purring, you can touch the soft, cozy pillows and blankets on the warm beds, and you will definitely feel safe.
Home is not the same as a house, for a house is only a structure with 4 walls and a roof. It may provide shelter and warmth, but there are no memories. As for a home, it has the same shelter and warmth as a house, but a home has lots of different memories. Each memory could be of a person or a place, and each home you have will have lots of different memories; my home in China brings me back memories of the strict schools, my Chinese friends, and the amazing food, but most of all, my family members.
My home right now makes me think of my fat cat Sucy, but it also brings different memories, for example, the joy when my mom bought this house, wanting it to be our new home, fitting into Earl Grey school, and the freezing winters and the summers when I catch different bugs all the time.H ome is also a place where there is entertainment, with games played with friends and family, and joy from fun surprises.
Home has no time limit, you can spend as much or as little time as you want in it, home is a place to rest when you are tired, and when you want to have some fun, home is also a great place to hold your parties!
Home is different for every person because no one is the same, both inside and outside, which means home is different for everyone, and everyone has a choice of what they want their home to look like, and this is my opinion of what home means to me.
