When I Think About Home
When I think about home I think of: memories that cannot be replaced, the funny moments with my family, having fun talking about my day at school, endless love, and even more!
The memories are special to me, they are as such: Holding my baby brother for the very first time or even saying goodbye to Baby (Grandma’s old dog) for the very last time.
As for talking about my day, after school on the walk home, I tell my mom about my day at school. It is always a fun thing to do after a day of stress and frustration.
Home feels like cuddling up under a warm blanket on a chilly day, spending time with family, and most importantly the feeling of being loved and wanted.
Home is not a house; it is a place with family and friends. It is a place for love, a place for comfort, and a good time to enjoy with loved ones. Home isn’t perfect and neither are you but remember that home is more than a house. It is love and imagination, it’s warm and welcoming, it is a place to be with family and friends. Home can be anywhere! My home is broken a bit here and there but it’s still a home, and I love my home.
Thank you, Habitat for Humanity, for giving people homes.
