Home

A house is not a home. Do you really want to live somewhere that is not right for you? Homes are much different than houses. A house has walls, a roof, maybe a few windows, and a door. A home is where you are comfortable and know you can be your true self. An example would be that safe feeling and knowing that no one is spying on you and no one is threatening you. And not being constantly worried about what might be after you. Another reason that a house is not the same is because a home has memories like the first time you hit a home run in your backyard. Maybe even that time when your brother shot milk out of his nose at dinnertime. Home is the place where you are in one place for over a year and you enjoy it there. You don't want to move because this house is where you desire to be. A home has laughs, smiles, memories, and comfort and is right for what you need. If you're in a wheelchair, you can't have loose floorboards and high cupboards, you need flat floorboards and cupboards low enough to reach from the floor to truly feel that it is the right place for you. As Gaius Plinius Secundus once said, “ Home is where the heart is”.
